Webmaster Level: Beginner
Cross-posted on the Google Grants Blog
Googlers often participate in live site clinics at conferences, giving advice about real-world sites and allowing webmasters to learn by example. Now Google’s Search Quality team is excited to host an online site clinic right here on this blog. In future posts, we’ll be looking at some user-submitted examples and offering broad advice that you can apply to your site.
This site clinic will focus on non-profit organizations, but chances are that our advice will benefit small business and government sites as well. If you work for a non-profit and would like us to consider your site, read on for submission instructions.
How to Submit Your Site:
To register your site for our clinic, fill in the information requested on our form. From there, we will determine trends and share corresponding best practices to improve site quality and user experience. Our analysis will be available in a follow-up post, and will adhere to public standards of webmaster guidance. Please note that by submitting your site, you permit us to use your site as an example in our follow-up site clinic posts.
We have a few guidelines:
- Your site must belong to an officially registered non-profit organization.
- In order to ensure that you’re the site owner, you must verify ownership of your site in Google Webmaster Tools. You can do that (for free) here.
- To the best of your ability, make sure your site meets our webmaster quality guidelines. We will be using the same principles as a basis for our analysis.
All set? Submit your site for consideration here.
The site clinic goes live today, and submissions will be accepted until Monday, November 8, 2010. Stay tuned for some useful webmaster tips when we review the sites.

Sounds like I should do, and wait for good results
very helpful, especially for new users like me
this is such a new kind of experiences for all webmasters. So now Doctor has weared his White Coat and stethoscope to check the health status of Websites..Very good work ...
Application form doesn't work properly - after submitting a request it keeps redirecting back and force and ends up with browser error. Not sure if the submission has been received ...
Would it be optimization guidelines? Anyways those would be great help to get site rank.
Having the same unresolvable error.
We've updated the links to a new form which should be working properly. Please comment if you continue to have issues.
If you submitted your site to the old form (Before October 26), please resubmit on the new one.
@Michael - form works ok now. Request submitted, looking forward to examining our "patient" thoroughly ;-)

I submit.
I don;t have any Non profit organization site, but am excited to read the review by Google.
Have submitted my site — HealthPages.org for consideration.
I'm all for helping out the non-profits, but considering how Google makes billions of dollars by leveraging the content produced by commercial (and hobbyist) Websites, I think you should give something back to the people who butter your bread and accept submissions from everyone.
Directing commercial and hobbyist sites to the Google Webmaster Forums is SOMETIMES like asking high school girls to let a gang of motorcyclists review their attire.
The Bionic Webmasters get very toxic at times.
People want Google's feedback on their sites.
You should be more fair about this.
UNICEF Bulgaria website submitted for review. Thanks a lot!
