If you've submitted a reconsideration request via Webmaster Tools, you've probably wondered what happens once Google receives it. We've always done our best to act upon these requests as quickly as possible, but until now we haven't notified webmasters once we've processed their requests.
As of last week, after your request has been processed, we'll confirm this by sending a message to your Message Center in Webmaster Tools. (Prefer to be notified by email? You can do that too.) Sometime after you receive a reconsideration request confirmation message, check your site's performance in search results. If it's doing well, it means that Google has reviewed your site and believes that it adheres to our Webmaster Guidelines. If your site still isn't performing well in search, we recommend reviewing our Webmaster Guidelines and also checking out these possible reasons why your site might not be doing as well as you expect.

I can't find that notification. Can someone help me ?
I got a problem with my blog too. There's a WARNING in webmaster status. Maybe this picture can explain what happened http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/4100/errorw.png
Still doesn't address the -60 penalty imposed against our domain that we have tried time and time again to find a way to have removed.

It may be that your XML is not properly formatted. XML is very strict, so its best to make sure everything is proper.
I have found that if you do not have spaces perfect, etc it can invalidate a file. Your author tag is out of line.

Should be more like:

I have been trying to get a site (http://www.eaf.ie) indexed but in my webmasters dashboard it just says site not indexed. I have checked the code for problems but haven't seen any! I m stumped to know why it can't index it. Any solutions?
@Tweb, @kankripay,
Can you post more information about your site and issue on our forums:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Webmasters?hl=en
@Robert, you can ignore that error. Apologies for the inconvenience. We are working on a fix for the issue. Your sitemap will still be processed.
hi i cant find my blog on the web, www.getfitwithnobby.blogspot.com
i am having some problems and was wondering if anyone had any ideas
@nobby, your site is actually indexed. You try this query [site:http://getfitwithnobby.blogspot.com/] and you will see that we have picked up your blog.
This blog post (http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/10/wheres-my-data.html) may be helpful to you to understand the difference between www and non-www as part of your site URL
I received that message, but does not say how long
I can take to add the search engine (It is assumed that
I am penalized specifies a term in Google Chile).
How long can it take to reappear in
that term?
THANKS
Ben, typically how long does it take Google to respond to Reconsideration Requests?
My site at http://cli.gs/qPHPAQ, which has grown nicely over the last 3 years, suddenly disappeared from Google Search last June 12. (Note: I submitted a Reconsideration Request on June 12). Google accounted for about 70% of the site's traffic. Needless to say I'm extremely disappointed.
I have removed/changed everything in the site that may have caused any problems after reviewing Google's guidelines and consulting with other Webmasters. I'm hoping to get back in Google's good graces very soon. If there is anything else that I need to fix, please let me know. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Is it possible to get completely deindexed by Google if a site gets hundreds of backlinks in a short amount of time? (my example: 800 of 1700 backlinks is from one blog - which was completely not intentional - I asked the webmaster to remove the links)
Possible to get a reconsideration?
I requested a reconsideration of my site about three weeks ago, but my problem still persists. I have good rankings in regular searches, but my site has almost completely disappeared from image searches. Previously, about 80% of my visitors were coming from image searches, and now only two of my images are showing up. Since mine is an art site, this has drastically affected my visitor numbers.
I've read through the webmaster guidelines and can't figure out what I've done wrong or am not doing that has gotten me penalized for image searches.
My url is http://www.equineartist.com
Can you offer any help or advice??
Thank you.
@Karen, I will research your site a bit more and get back to you.

@Hydra, if the backlinks were acquired without violating our Webmaster Guidelines you should be in good shape.

Sagar Kamdar, allready done http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Webmasters/thread?tid=127c43dcb0d333ac&hl=en but still no answer - and no notification received. What can we do?
Thank you, Sagar. I would very much appreciate that.
On the Dashboard of Google Webmaster, it states, "Googlebot has successfully accessed your home page.
Pages from your site are included in Google's index.", however, all my pages have vanished from Google Search.
Should the Dashboard be ignored?
@sales, you can find the link for the reconsideration request form from here:

Can I get someone to tell me what needs to be cleaned up on the site: http://www.selltestequipment.com
I can get all the help possible. This site was put up for a friend of mine who was diagnosed with a crippling disease. Ild love to explain to someone privately if they can contact me.

So Google send you a message saying they have reviewed your site that they will not tell you if the penalty has been removed, that's really helpful Google. Seriously I think Google actually enjoy torturing people who have received a penalty.
